The Route

I will be riding along the TransAmerica Trail established by the Adventure Cycling Association in 1976 for the United States bicentennial. The route starts in Astoria,OR and 10 states later, ends in Yorktown,VA after approximately 6700 km (4232 mi). Now, the route I will be following will deviate a bit from this. Instead of starting in Astoria,OR I will start from Seattle,WA then hop on the TransAm in Missoula,MT. Then hopping off again near the end to finish in Washington,DC, where I will hopefully spend a few days with my lovely girlfriend, who is coming all the way from Norway to greet me.
